Jaguar XF

Time for another post, here it is,
The Jaguar XF

(credit: www.autoblog.com)
The Jaguar XF is a very good example of a sport sedan. The "sport" part is really there, it does 0-60 in 5 seconds. The Jag also can hit an impressive top speed of 129 miles per hour. You can get it in all-wheel drive, which makes it very popular where I live because people like to get full-size, all-wheel drive cars. This cat has 340 horsepower (~253 kilowatts) and 332 pound-feet (~450 Nm) of torque. The XF gets its power from either a supercharged V-6 (statistics shown in the sentence above) or an I-4 turbodiesel. People will say "Superchargers aren't efficient, they waste gas!". Blasphemy! Superchargers take a large blow to fuel mileage, but they are cool. If I am going to spend 60 grand on a V-6, it better be cool. However, enough ranting, because the Jaguar has some truly amazing equipment on board. Car and Driver says "The cabin is delightfully modern and houses a variety of gadgets suitable for James Bond himself, including forward-collision alert and a driver-drowsiness alert." The suspension is excellent, it can come with adaptive dampers, this means you can firm up the suspension for the racetrack, or soften it for gentle cruises on the freeway.

(this post was for last week, I ran out of time to post it)

GMC Sierra

Time for another post, here it is,
The GMC Sierra 1500

(credit: www.caranddriver.com)
The GMC Sierra is a fantastic pickup truck. It looks really good, and with 365 horsepower, it can tow just as well as it runs. it also has 12,000 lbs of towing capacity. This means that the Sierra can tow roughly 3 Ford Crown Victorias! It can come in short crew cab, like the above image, long crew cab, short and long extended cab, and in short cab. As an option for the V-8 engines, you can get them bolted to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
We now present our guest-blogger (no, not Cory Doctorow), Stephen Buck!

Well, folks, coming from the south,  the only thing important about pickup trucks is the ability to hold water.  If you don't know what I mean you haven't driven around town with ten hot girls in the back, singing "luv me some Kailas" in 64 cubic feet of hot water.  So pay attention to the suspension in the back because no one wants a droopy rear end.

I will never let Stephen write a blog article again. I have shoved him into the bed of the truck we have on road test. I have also added bubble bath to the truck.
Take that, Stephen!
